Greetings,
Any chance of seeing the stock navigation data in future P3D versions being updatable via Navigraph or other means?
Cheers,
Todd.

Nice to see this thread is still going. Unfortunately no definitive answer yet from LM.
What tool do you use to monitor AVX processing?funknnasty wrote:Oh it most certainly does. You can see for yourself while monitoring your cpu core speed using the motherboard AVX offset switch.

Re: airport Database
I think, to start with, an update-able AIRAC cycle for base P3D would be a great addition and LONG overdue. Similar to XP. Updated airports would be nice but there's a lot of third parties (freeware & payware) developing these already. If P3D had an AIRAC that could be updated regularly, this co...

Re: Horizon texture problem
Also try downgrading those Nvidia drivers. I've had a couple of fellow Flight Simmers experience issues(flashing) with that version. They downgraded to 416.81 which I use and no more problems. I realize you may not be experiencing the same problem but you are using a problematic driver version. Chee...

Re: Flickering with VSync off
Also make sure you are NOT running the latest Nvidia drivers 417.22. A couple of friends upgraded to this and they starting observing flashes every few seconds. They downgraded to 416.81 and all was good again. I also run 416.81 and no issues.
Cheers!

Re: P3Dv4.1 Config resets to default on every startup...
***Update:
I was able to resolve it by removing both the .cfg and cfg.tmp file and let them both recreate themselves on next startup.
Now my settings are saved for the next restart of the sim.... weird!
Todd.

[RESOLVED] P3Dv4.1 Config resets to default on every startup...
Greetings, Just wondering why all my configurations in P3Dv4 continuously resets to default every time I start the sim? There also seems to be another file, "Prepar3D.cfg.tmp", that gets created after startup which I did not notice before. It's a binary file and cannot be viewed. Thanks, T...

Re: Does P3Dv4 use any AVX/AVX512 instructions/code?
So I'm assuming the lack of response to this Yes/No question from LM is either they do not know
or
is more complicated than a simple answer.
Either way it would be nice to know.
Thanks.

Does P3Dv4 use any AVX/AVX512 instructions/code?
As per the question in the subject....
Just curious for OC'ing purposes. I can down clock these settings to keep thermals down and get a higher base clock if this instruction set is rarely used.
Thanks,
Todd.

Re: Slow texture loading...
I was able to resolve my texture loading by removing my "C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\Prepar3D.cfg" file and let it get rebuilt on next startup. The textures are back and working normally again. Something was modified in that file that caused the issue.

Same thing happening with my setup. I definitely have no slouch of a PC and my settings are set to Medium on most Autogen settings.

Re: Slow texture loading...
here also direct after takeoff the blurry mess. sick of it, i going back to 4.0 there was all sharp and clear, this 4.1 is unflyable! I wouldn't go as far as to say it's unflyable but it is disconcerting that the previous versions are much more visually stunning and visual cues are always there whe...
