Almost forgot, this memory leak with the nvidia driver 378.49 only happens to users of the 10 series nvidia gpus. Can OP confirm that he uses one of the new gpus? And others who do not suffer from the issue, which graphicscard are you using?

I have the same issue as OP. 378.49 causes memory leak and any older driver fixes the issue for me.

I also suffer from OOM ever since I upgraded to 3.4. Hopefully LM can solve this finally.
