Re: Oculus VR Controllers?
Thanks again for the reply Beau, To be honest, some of what you said went over my head. I am not using Steam. I am using a mixed reality setup with a Saitek Yoke and Throttle Quadrant and CH Products Foot Pedals and Oculus Rift Headset. After thinking about our recent post, the VR manipulators are r...

Re: Oculus VR Controllers?
Thank you for the reply Beau! Unfortunately, I did not buy the program on Steam. Should the program have different functionality depending on which venue I bought it from? I own and use Prepared V4 and X-Plane V11.5. I also understand that Microsoft will have VR soon. What is LM waiting for? The hea...

Re: Still No Kneeboard in VR?
I have an AviTab knee board in X-Plane that is freeware!!! I have A2A products in P3D where the kneeboard pops up in front of the instruments in VR and I can't move it to the side so I can use it while operating the plane. I have spoken to A2A who said the limitations are due to the VR lin the P3D p...

Re: Still No Kneeboard in VR?
Very frustrating! FlyInside has a solution for P3D v4 but not v5 yet. Basic operational functions like this and Nav Data and instrument functionality should be built into the SDK for developers to use. I realize that it would be bad business for LM to rip off developer ideas but they should offer to...

Documents in VR
I heard through the grapevine that LM was working on VR improvements to the platform. Any chance we could get something like a tablet similar to X-Plane or Fly Inside to bring PDF's or Web Browser into VR cockpit? We need flight planning info in the cockpit. Taking headset off to read flight plan do...

Views Question
I am trying to adjust my views with zero success. Can the default views be adjusted? Mine are zoomed in too close so the first thing I need to do is adjust my views by zooming out on EVERY flight. It's a nuisance!!! Can I create views and assign them to keys on the num pad to correspond with what I ...

Re: Error Message
Answer to the wind and ATIS issue: All charts and textual sources (METAR, TAF, winds aloft, surface analysis charts, etc) use true north as the reference. ATIS/AWOS/ASOS broadcasts, or any information a controller gives you over the radio, is magnetic. Wind direction broadcast over FAA radios is in ...

Re: Oculus Rift Sound Issue
I seem to have at least partially resolved the issue. There are settings in the Oculus program for sound from computer or headset.

Oculus Rift Sound Issue
The sound is not switching to my Oculus headset even after selecting the device in P3D Sound settings and Windows 10 Sound Settings. Sometimes it works fine and sometimes I can't get it to work at all. Any Ideas?
