Thanks for taking the time to provide this information. I don't fly much at night so have not noticed anything before - doesn't affect the fidelity much for me. I'd just like to see it fixed.
Take care.

Landing Lights Not Illuminating the Ground
Hello all Not sure if I'm late to the party with this and I haven't been able to find much information on the web. In any case I have found that with one or two of my aircraft the landing lights function properly but do not illuminate the ground. Admittedly these are earlier machines which I have tr...

Re: Fresh Install of P3DV5 (Green or grass on runway)
Not sure if this will be of much help but I have experienced this with some scenery produced for earlier versions of P3D. I tried using the latest version of Airport Design Editor in an attempt to fix the issue but had no success. A blogger somewhere suggested that this can be an issue of placement ...

Re: P3D V4.5 & Oculus Quest2
Hi Probably can't be too much help but I have used an Oculus Rift S VR from the 4.5 through 5.2. There should be a noticeable white dot which appears in the cockpit in the approximate position of the mouse arrow and that's what is used to manipulate controls in the cockpit. I'm not at the sim but I ...

Re: Two Questions 5.2
Hi again I have not experienced shimmering except in VR and that seems to be in some way related to pending windows updates although I have no idea why or if in fact that is the true cause. I only fly in VR these days but on the rare occasion when it is "disabled" 5.2 looks crystal clear e...

Re: Two Questions 5.2
Hello I experienced DXGI crashes over the past three months mostly while attempting to disable VR and they seemed worse in 5.1. In 5.2 I have experimented over the last few days with variable settings etc and have experienced no DXGI freezes or crashes. Had to fix a couple of issues after updating O...

Re: DXGI Hung device error - GTX 1080 - still
Hi all
Happy Fourth if you are so inclined. After several days of playing with 5.2 I'm happy to report (after three months or so) that I have not received any "Hung_device error and I'm able to fly with EA enabled and most sliders well to the right.
Thanks LM for this most recent hotfix.

Re: DXGI Hung device error - GTX 1080 - still
After several days of problem free operation I am once again receiving the DXGI_HUNG_DEVICE Error. It appears than none of the alterations I made to the sim made any difference and I once again receive the error each time I attempt to "disable" VR (Oculus Rift S) Some of the fixes appeared...

Re: Prepar3d v5.2 crashes
Hi Don't have FS Labs but the only similar problem I've had was a bad Nvidia Driver which caused the Sim to CTD at a similar time. It seems interesting that you are receiving an FS labs error message at around the same time the Sim crashes. Could you disable FS Labs in some way and basically see wha...

Re: DXGI Hung device error - GTX 1080 - still
Hello all Third day in a row that I have not experienced the black screen with EA selected on and Particle Shadows selected off. I have paused the sim for periods of time which it often does not like and then disabled VR, again still no black screen - no great confidence since I believe I have found...

Re: DXGI Hung device error - GTX 1080 - still
Hello Beau Not an answer to your last question but I'm not positive that my P3D V5.2 is actually crashing when attempting to disable VR. There is some evidence that the sim continues to run "behind" the black screen until I answer one of the three questions asked - "yes" "no...

Re: DXGI Hung device error - GTX 1080 - still
I receive the error with both default aircraft (F-35) and add on aircraft (SWS F-4 ). The error has only occurred when attempting to "disable" VR after a period of operation. It currently (5.2) only occurs with EA on. It has occurred almost consistently for several months (EA on or off) an...

Re: DXGI Hung device error - GTX 1080 - still
Hi all Further to the discussion about the DXGI Hung device error I finally received a message in the error content file subsequent to the latest "crash" when i attempted to disable VR (Oculus Rift S) As follows: [error.190] error=DirectX device removed. Reason : DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG Not...

Re: DXGI Hung device error - GTX 1080 - still
I keep thinking I have found the problem. I have changed refresh rates, disabled portions of the sim which other folks indicated had solved the "hung device" problem. If I sit on the ramp with EA activated I can activate and disable VR at least once or twice without the error but if I fly ...

DXGI Hung device error - GTX 1080 - still
Hi all Not wanting to "beat a dead horse" as they say but after upgrading to 5.2 - deleting and rebuilding appropriate .cfgs I still consistently see the DXGI error when using EA. The visuals are awesome with this option but I use it knowing that the error and subsequent closing will occur...
