Re: Preprar3d v4 very, very, very slow loading scenery
In my case seems to be the root scenery folder causing it. Maybe from add-on files that got dumped there. Usining a clean version lead to short load times

Re: Preprar3d v4 very, very, very slow loading scenery
I'm having a very similar issue.. suddenly scenery (minimal things) that would have taken 1-1.5 mins to load were taking 4-5 mins.. best i could figure was putting a clean "autogen" folder in (untouched by ftx central) eliminated the issue.. but then when i'd open ftx central it modified t...

Eset Nod32 v10 causing long delays on loading p3dv4? Exclusions dont work
I run Nod32 v10 on my win 10 x64 (creators update) machine along with p3dv4. I found that in one case, i save 3 minutes of load time if i disable the antivirus first (example after a reboot to get the same time results etc).. I tried setting exclusions to every p3d related folder i could think of bu...

Same results for me. Did a direct compare of 1080 ftw hybrid and 1080 to sc2 hybrid.. no change at all.

Re: P3Dv4 add-on.xml ignores the Category "Sound"
Curious what the resolution is here? I have a similar problem with alabeo and carenado not "reading" the sound files.. sounds not heard in sim. per this thread at avsim https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/519813-alabeo-and-possibly-carenado-issues-with-add-onxml-method-p3dv4-missing-some-so...

Re: P3D v3 and v4 stutters
What are the full specs on your system and for your monitor? I assume you've tried lowering sliders back to defaults and testing for that 2-3 sec pause and tried vsync? Every 2-3 seconds is definitely not the norm, despite this being a common issue. Have you tried a different hard drive, in case of...

Re: Forum email notifications broken?
Ah i figured it out.. deep in the settings on here, the email checkboxes became unchecked.. just checking off notify if a reply is posted wasnt enough.. it only notifies you in the icon :)Rob McCarthy wrote: ↑Tue Sep 12, 2017 7:27 pm They might be filtered out of your inbox. Re: P3D v3 and v4 stutters
Hey there.. i've had the same issues with v4 as well.. i was able to get most of mine cured but it was painful and there are still some there.. i think its mainly due to areas that fall below the refresh rate of the monitor.. ie: sim at 35 or 45 fps and the refresh at 60 even with vsync on. I assume...

Re: Drastically longer load times when using the add-on.xml method vs scenery.cfg?
Another example of the addon xmls causing a bit of delay is this.. In one scenerio.. i have put all FSDT and Flight Beam entries in with the combined scenery.cfg such that there are no entries in add-on.xml (i have maybe 7 FSDT and 4 FB entries).. First load 4min24sec.. second load 3min30 sec... Now...

"I have been doing extensive testing with p3dv4 (hot fix 1).. i've converted all of my sceneries to add-on xml types.. stored in the my documents area." Are the add-on scenery developed and approved for P3Dv4 and come with their own installers? Many of them are p3dv4 supported.. but yes s...

Drastically longer load times when using the add-on.xml method vs scenery.cfg?
I have been doing extensive testing with p3dv4 (hot fix 1).. i've converted all of my sceneries to add-on xml types.. stored in the my documents area.. coupled with the Lorby Addon Manager tool.. My findings are, that at least with a very large amount of scenery and large amount of add-on xml folder...
