Re: difference v3 and v4 in CPU usage

Whats about new settings introduced in v4 like autogen draw distance. I guess that one notch from left is same as autogen in v3, each notch to right add 6000m autogen draw distance. In v3 it was 12000, currently with maxed AG distance it is 30000. So even you set it to middle you have 18000 which is...

Re: GEFORCE® GTX 1080

Just for correction... 1080 is 70% increase over 980. 980 is around 60% pef of 1080. For increase of 40% 1080 perf you need add around 70% of 980 perf. From my experience with OC MSI 980 Gaming G4 vs 1080 founders edition, I achieve around 50% better FPS at same scenario - where CPU do not bottomnec...

Re: GTX1080 not performing as expected

Just FYI: GTX1080 performs very well. As mentioned before. There are lots of scenarios which are related to CPU, but for example.. look at this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9FtT6vU5R7Y first part is on old GTX980 Gaming G4 versus GTX1080 FE. Mostly 50% increase performance and FPS over ORBX...

Re: Very low FPS with increased simulation rate

I had flowm much with time acceleration on P3D and FSX... At first. Do not compare FSX and P3D. Absolutely different especially with CPU utilization and autogen. CPU is bottomneck at this scenario. When I fly over sparse areas, then I do not see mostly any FPS drop (60FPS locked by VSync). When I fl...

Re: Straight shadows

What is your cloud shadow draw distance set to in settings? If you mean my onw, then 80km - fully right, terrain is set to zero - I do not like it too much and objects shadows are at 6000m which is performance compromise. WHen flying with ASN I have maximum surface and max. upper visibility set to ...

Re: MORE WORK INTO THE GPU

It never ceases to amaze me how often on various sim-tech help forums I see people talking about thier [4.5GHz i7, 32GB RAM, twin GTX9xx SLI, 3TB SDD] setup, and complaining that they're "getting stutters, OOM errors, CTD's, and the ever-popular 15-20 FPS slideshow." It is very simple. I ...

Re: Prepar3d on 2 Monitors

Best way will be setup your monitors as virtual one with nVidia Surround technology. Setup is possible in display settings. From my experience setup with two same monitors is not very good, as some centered windows (for example when you hit esc in P3D, windows alerts, etc.) will be split between two...

Re: Straight shadows

As was said by JasonW. When cloud or terrain shadows are set to lower value than it is your actual visibility, shadows will have visible edge. Guess that is not bug but indended feature which cause this disruptive effect. I turn terrain shadows off and leave only cloud shadows set to maximum or I re...

Re: NVidia + Intel HD graphics == Hang or crash

That is known problem with integrated GPU. If you really want keep your main card for main view, just buy some decent GPU like GeForce GT710 or so... is is enough and it works together very vell.

Re: Missing autogen

I see similar problem... Much more less autogen than in preceding version. WHen I start flight, autogen is fine, but while flying I see missing autogen front of aircraft. WHen hit pause, autogen slowly pop ups... I tryed reset cfg and setup make new, but no success even reduced autogen density. Stil...

Re: P3D v3.2. two different crashes

I absolutely agree. It is why why I do not report g2d.dll crashes followed by display driver crash. For now running default clocks and actually no similar crash for day. But as I mentioned, error with "unknown" faulting module and no dirvers error is new for me as I do not see any in prece...

Re: ASN for P3D SP4.1 with P3D v3.2 compatibility update - OPEN BETA

Unfortunately problem starts after ASN installed. I did some investigation and GTN problem is not related to ASN and I report this to Flight1.

Re: P3D v3.2. two different crashes

Thanks jazzfan. I can OC my 980 to 1575MHz and it works at 3DMark with no problems. For Usuall use I have 1501MHz, new video games works without problem, P3D sometimes crash. I count it as tax for better performance, but I suppfer from driver crashes even factory default clocks (Have MSI G4 version ...

Re: P3D v3.2. two different crashes

Both problems are new after update from 3.1 to 3.2. First one occurs only once and I count it as "random" without care. But second occurs few times and randomly and even v3.1 sometimes crash, all crashes was related to g2d.dll and nVidia driver crash. I achieve same g2d.dll crash with 3.2 ...

Re: ASN for P3D SP4.1 with P3D v3.2 compatibility update - OPEN BETA

Hello,

after ASN update my GTN750 stop works. Not sure if it is relevant to ASN, but nothing else was changed. Do anyone same experience? I will investigate this problem closely later this evening.
