1. Now for a weapon like the Sidewinder I would like to stop the missile from guiding to its target for X seconds after launch. I tried setting the "time on rail" value, because it made sense to me that a missile will just fly straight while it is on the rail, but that did not seem to work. The missile still guides immediately after launch and flies through my aircraft. So how can I do this?

2. What exactly _does_ the "time on rail" setting do?

3. For a weapon like the AMRAAM that has a distinct flightpath, I would like to have the guidance section respect that and steer into a specific direction for X seconds after launch. Is that possible or will it be implemented anytime soon?

Thx!

1. Not at this time, it is something we might consider adding in the future.

2. Time on Rail is the time it takes to leave the launch rail. You can think of how SAM launchers work. It should not be guiding if Time on Rail is valid. We will look into that.

3. No plans to implement specific steering as there are many use cases - it would be extremely difficult to implement them all. I'd suggest looking into creating ISimObject weapons for your use cases. It will be additional work, but will give you the control it appears you need.
