Nvidia 436.30 problèm ?

Postby Alexis_67 » Tue Sep 17, 2019 6:18 pm

Hello pilot.

I would like to have your opinion on the new driver NVIDIA 436.30.

I wanted to fly from KSDF to KSLC in PMDG 74F.

Shortly before the descent, about 2:30 after take-off, P3D was extinguished at once, no freeze nothing, it simply went off like that, for no reason ...

I looked in the Reliability Monitor, and the Windows Event Log, no errors are displayed regarding P3D or hardware.

I was on the Nvidia 431.36 version before the flight, and I had no problem. But a game force me to install the most recent version.

I install version 436.30 after using DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) in safe mode, which I always do.

I do not know where this sudden extinction of P3D comes in full flight but I suspect the new drivers are the origin.

Who uses version 436.30? Do you have problems or not?

Thanks in advance.

I use it. No problems in any application.

Check your Event Viewer and see what it says caused the crash.

Hello Jorgen,

As mentioned above, I check the Reliability Monitor and Event Viewer, but nothing is recorded for either P3D or hardware.

Run the Nvidia card in debugging mode. Thats what I have done in the past and it has helped. Good luck.

I never update NVidia drivers just because they issued a new update unless either 1) At lease six months has passed, or 2) I read reports that the update resolves an existing issue.

Those drivers are updated every few weeks or more and the reason is to keep up with the shooter games that are popular. Rarely does any of that have anything to do with the archaic rendering system in P3D.

Yep Dan, you are correct in that the driver updates mainly cater to FPS gamers, but I update mine anyway when the updates come out roughly once a month.

And I haven't seen any issue that could be graphics-driver related, in P3D or in FSX.

I am using 436.30 with no problem in P3Dv4.5 and I use GeForce Experience for the install. It will remove the exisitng driver for you. I have never experienced a problem.

Yes, that is how I do it also. It updates all the drivers for the stuff that is on your nVidia card.
