EA 5.1 Plane textures turn too dark over time at higher FL

Using EA mode on in P3D V5.1 results in getting complete dark/black cockpit textures at all spaces where the sunbeam does not lighten them up. Also the outside textures on the shadow side of the plane are getting much too dark. This I noticed at higher FL

This happens at Stock planes as well as at addons planes. Tested with LM F22, LM F16, Aerosoft A330 FSlabs A321 and FSLabs A320.

Dynamic Reflections is set to medium and Exposure is set on.

Is this an EA issue as the Stock planes also suffer from this?

NOTE: It takes some time to see this. I saw this after minimum 20 to 30 minutes after Scenario Start and getting in the cockpit

G’day Marcus,

Yeah I’ve got the same situation with my sim too.

I understand it’s part of the new look of the sim, and yes up in the Flight Levels with an overcast layer below its bright out there, however its too dark within the cockpit.. Even sitting at the gate, way too dark in there.

Not sure whether this is a FSLabs thing, sim settings or P3D textures.

I‘m using the Flight1 Mustang for serious flight training, since I fly a C510 single pilot RW.
The G1000 gets unreadable at altitude with EA on and I can`t find any switches.
I can assure to LM: this is not the case when flying a C510 at high altitudes.
Basically, the cockpit should be always easily readable during daylight or twilight, as it is in the real aircraft.

I still have this problem with the latest hotfix. It could be noon outside but the cockpit is so dark it could be midnight.

Is there any solution to this? Besides "turn off EA" which I don't want to do; EA is the main attraction of v5.1, especially now that the latest ActiveSky works with the volumetrics so well.

Something i found that helps with the dark textures..

If you dont have an HDR capable monitor (for NVIDIA users), in the NVIDIA control panel - Display - Change resolution 3. Use the NVIDIA color setting and select the "Output dynamic range to LIMITED..... Also, in - Video - Adjust video color settings 2. use the NVIDIA setting on select the Dynamic range to LIMITED.

Found this fix on a video, really helps my system display a nice image.
