Timelines for the next P3D V5 Update

Post by Airbumps »

Hi LM,

Excuse me if this has been mentioned elsewhere, but I was wondering if you could provide any expected/approximate timeframes for the next update (be it a patch, HF or .1 release) to P3D V5.

Understand things change and you might not want to be tied down to an exact date, but are you able to advise if we're looking at weeks or months?

Cheers,
Karl

Are you able to share some of the additional and / or fixed features of the Hotfix already? :)

Will you be fixing the floating houses issue ? Confirmed problem on no add-on installation:

We have only been waiting for seven years and four versions Rob.

We think that's long enough.

I have not been waiting, instead I have played all the versions from 1 and enjoyed it.

LM claims.... "Training meets reality with Lockheed Martin's Prepar3D v5 simulation software". That is from their website... https://www.prepar3d.com/prepar3d-store/

"We" are the people who expect a simulation that claims "Training meets reality.." to actually live up to that claim.

We don't accept floating houses is "reality"..... We have repeatedly asked, for 7 years, that they fix this problem and they don't even have the courtesy to reply.

"You" can "play" P3D all you want. "We" are people who use P3D for training.

Hi all
I am happy to see a hot-fix will be coming in the next few weeks.

Personal, I think V5 will be a big step forward, once Lockheed Martin fix the crash to desk top that many of us are experiencing.

I like the way it looks, feels, and performs.

90% of my flights go fine, then suddenly I will experience a crash to desk top!!

I feel they should concentrate on stability rather than introducing any new features.

I have used P3D V2,V3,and V4 as well as V5, However V5 feels and looks the best. BUT also the most unstable so far.

I do however, have confidence the issues will be resolved.

Best wishes
Bob
