Outside Top-Down view and ground looking - LOW FPS

Postby skanpt » Mon Mar 23, 2020 8:46 pm

Hi guys, I'm getting some trouble with my p3dv4.5

When I take the Outside Top-Down view and when I'm inside the airplane and I look to the ground I'm experiencing really low fps. It goes from 100 fps to 10 fps. I tried to put my graphics on low (everything is off) and testes with multiple aircrafts (dafault and PMDG 748). Do you know what it can be? Thank you.

Marco,
Which OS version are you using?
What are your system specs?
What Add-on FS Hardware and software are you using?
Is your PC a home built PC or a name brand store bought PC?

Note:
Minimum PC specs are here:

Hi Vaughan,

I'm using it on Windows 10 with an Intel core i5 9400F, RX 580 8Gb,RAM 8GB and an 500Gb SSD.

Addons installed:
- PMDG 747 (with 748 expansion)
- Active Sky for p3dv4
- GSX (without level 1)
- Chaseplane
- ORBX Global, OpenLC, PrecipitFX
- MK Studio LPPT and GCFV
- TropicalSim LPPR
- Aerosoft LPMA

It's a computer that was built in a store (not like Asus pc or HP, I chose all the hardware and they performed all the tests).
I never experienced this with this hardware... I can have good fps...
Thank you.

Marco,

Is your default flight the LM F22 at KVPS?

Marco,

Reboot PC
Start P3D
OK ( that will load the default F22 at KVPS)
SHIFT + Z keys (to show FPS)
top down view
do a screenshot

There are some screenshots depending on zoom. And for information I uninstalled (right now before the screenshots) all the scenarios and PMDG 747 (and 748).

When you :
get the default flight loaded
switch to top down view
immediately do do a screenshot?

Is one of your screenshots the one I should look at?

Note:
I did not ask for any zoom

Ok I just figured out the problem... Dynamic Reflections OFF everything is ok (like 400fps), then when I put it on LOW my fps drop to 10/20. The following screenshots were taken choosing Outside Top-Down View after the aircraft loaded (no zoom).

Dynamic Reflections LOW:

Dynamic Reflections OFF:
