Waypoint targets to appear in HUD

Postby Barney_LM » Thu May 31, 2018 2:49 pm

Hello

Just curious.

I have a winform that makes a flight path between two user-defined points.

However I want the destination of the path to appear on my F-16 Heads-up-Display.

I have changed the HUD.xml so that a red diamond that appears on my HUD. However I want this diamond to lock onto the destination and only appear when I am heading in the right direction

Is there a simulation variable that I can set in SimConnect?
Is there something that I need to change in the HUD.xml

Please advize

Thanks

Barney

Hi Barney,

How have you created your flight plan? Have you had a look at the GPS waypoint Simulation Variables? Here a few of them that may be useful:

GPS WP NEXT LAT
GPS WP NEXT LON
GPS WP NEXT ALT

Thanks.

Clifton

I haven't actually created a flight plan. I have a winform that draws a line from one point to the other.

The two points are defined in another winform application and my winform then uses these values to create a flight path.

No flight plans are created.

Regards,

Barney
