Re: DXGI Hung device error - GTX 1080 - again

I've done EVERYTHING possible to eliminate this error. I am so frustrated by it I am seriously considering giving up on P3D forever despite the money I have invested. I may just stay with XP11 or invest in MSFS. It has become pathetic. @rodtod423 , Have you reinstalled p3d and tested in a default s...

@ nowhereman,

You could check the properties / size of each folder and file in the P3D main folder.

You would be looking for a 40GB problem.

Re: Acceleration and deceleration effects

sbssim wrote: Fri May 14, 2021 6:38 am During accelerating the nose comes up way too much, cannot see the runway anymore.
During deceleration the nose dips way to far down.
Where in P3Dv4 can this be corrected and how ?
@ sbssim ,

Nothing to fix.
You just use the Yoke / Joystick to control Pitch during takeoff and landing/approach.

sbssim wrote: Fri May 14, 2021 6:41 am Where in P3Dv4 can it be set or controlled to have the nosewheel controlled by the tiller only and not by the yoke at the same time?
@ sbssim ,

If you have FSUIPC registered version?

I have used it e.g., with PMDG aircraft.

"vague WIN10 exception codes / errors" Those codes are absolutes, nothing vague about them. Try to troubleshoot root cause for a change. Jorgen Try using the Debugging steps after you look up the WIN10 code and it tells you nothing useful ... it tells something is wrong but the cause it n...

Re: Installing on a different driver

nowhereman wrote: Thu May 13, 2021 10:30 pm Yes, the folder's properties took a moment to calculate the size of itself, cannot say that it didn't surprise me !
@ nowhereman,

I assume it is still 40 GB too much.

What caused it? At some point you noticed it.
My thought is you UnZipped something in that folder?

nowhereman wrote: Thu May 13, 2021 10:10 pm No, no addons. Which version have you got? Could differ perhaps
@ nowhereman,

You have had problems.

What caused this ?:
I checked the P3D folder's properties I made in E: and the folder's size shot up from 50mb to 90gb. "

Have you rechecked it?

Re: Installing on a different driver

It's 113gb as you already know, and the entire P3D folder I got in E: is roughly 90gb at the moment. The 22.8gb missing is the installer I would assume @ nowhereman, Do you have Add-ons installed in the P3D folder for the 90GB total ? I have 45.6 GB Note: In a previous post you mentioned: "Edi...

@ nowhereman,

Yes, did you add , get the total?

And, it was installed today.

Edit:
The hidden P3D files are in here with other applications.
The are hidden for a reason:

Re: Installing on a different driver

nowhereman wrote: Thu May 13, 2021 8:08 pm That is correct. My apologies - 2gb would be quite the issue !
@ nowhereman,

"Windows settings -> System -> Storage "

Also:
Look in WIN10 Settings, Apps, Programs and Features for the P3D Content, scenery etc files sizes.
But, you do not see where it is?
Not all on your C drive.

Re: Installing on a different driver

I have roughly 150gb left on my C: - the reason I wanted to ensure P3D installs on my E: and not my C: is because I intend to heavily use scenery and add-ons for P3D, and 150gb would definitely not cut it, knowing how much there is to upgrade in the simulator - instead a 2gb SSD (E:) would be far m...

Re: Installing on a different driver

I have not deleted the zipped or unzipped files, although am I not going to have to keep them in case I need to use the setup file for an update or an uninstall? I found all those files on my C:, they might be what you say they are.. I cannot say for sure. I sent a few pictures earlier, but one of ...
