Re: GTX 980 and P3D V5

I have no add-ons except a lot - a real lot - of AI, both aircraft and ships, and also FSUIPC.

One of the reasons for that is that v. 5 currently is on a HDD, and within a week or 2 it will be moving to a SSD. After that I am going to install sceneries.

Re: GTX 980 and P3D V5

Yes, I am flying v. 5 HF2.

But also, I have Windows 10 v. 2004, and the latest nVidia drivers. Both are very important.

Re: V5: ATC-windows crash VCRUNTIME140.dll

Frankly, I am not sure on how much to install. I installed everything except the tools for developing mobile phone apps (Android etc.).

Re: Short before killing v5 - SimConnect /win10 Pro

Jörg, Main Issue 1 is probably your biggest problem - if your network connection was stable, so that you always could see both the systems on your network (from either end), the rest would probably be relatively simple. In my opinion, this is where it was so much easier to set up a network under goo...

Re: Hotfix 3 and beyond?

I am not saying that there are no issues in v. 5 that need fixing. Yes, the EA issue needs it, but even in HF2 EA is still in beta, meaning it is being worked upon. There is also a SimConnect issue that is being worked upon. But the main issues we are seeing are turning out to be add-ons that are ba...

Re: Hotfix 3 and beyond?

Fixes for what?

Talk to the add-on developers about fixes, they demonstrably need it, as documented ad nauseam in these threads....

Re: GTX 980 and P3D V5

Massimo,

I use a GTX 960, so your GTX 980 is "good enough".

What problems are you having?

Re: P3Dv5 Nvidia stopped working

When I went to Windows Update on my system, there was a link saying "Optional updates" or something like that below the "Check for updates" button.

Also, you can check your build version on the right side of the Update screen "OS build info".

Re: P3D v5 CTD seconds after launch

This is a new one for me... pid.dll error.

Try this command, run from a command prompt:

sfc /scannow

This will check for damaged files and repair them.

Same issue, or what do you have in Event Viewer now?

Re: V5: ATC-windows crash VCRUNTIME140.dll

Another possible solution is to install Visual Studio 2019 from Microsoft.

Be sure to install ALL components - there's a lot of them....

Re: P3D v5 CTD seconds after launch

I don't really think so that the Educational version is a problem, as long as it is up to v. 2004. When you reinstall, remember to run the installer as Administrator, and install outside the default location - on the first screen of the installation, hit Options, and install to something like C:\P3D...

Re: Steam VR CTD

So the basic P3D is OK, but the VR is the issue here.

We'll see if a VR specialist can come up with something then.
