Re: AI traffic & sloped runways/taxiways

As a developer I can tell you that nothing is impossible. It's just about time and money. :)

3D Cirrus Clouds!

I know this has been asked for by developers as well. Can we please fix this long standing bug?

We have taken giant leaps forward in terms of immersion and reality, until you get to 30,000ft and get sliced in half by the Cirrus layer! ;)

Re: Autogen shadows still flickering even on high resolution!

Thanks for your reply Rob, I did try a resolution of 4096 but the flickering was still there. I will try and push it higher and see what happens. I notice there are some points when it stops flickering and is dead still, but as I pan around again the flickering seems to return. I do hope you guys ar...

Autogen shadows still flickering even on high resolution!

Hi guys, This has been such an old issue that I was hoping at least with v4 it would be fixed. But unfortunately it's not. Vegetation shadows are especially guilty in this case of heavy flickering which is really distracting sometimes. I have tried some suggestions by SteveW over at the Avsim forum ...

Re: 3D Cirrus Clouds

Hi again I guess I am rapidly getting out of my depth here - just don't know about Prepar3D and clouds. I flew a bit yesterday with FSRealWX pro and did pay specific attention to any cirrus I could find. Not sure how they were generated but for me they were adequately realistic. I know of Active Sk...

Re: 3D Cirrus Clouds

Hi Not sure how accurate it may be but a freeware / payware program called FSrealwx pro has a setting which generates cirrus clouds. The latest version works well for me in Prepar3D although both simconnect and FSUIPC are required. I'm not really "fussy" about weather but it looks good to me in Pre...

3D Cirrus Clouds

This may seem a minor cosmetic thing, but it would be a really nice addition. I understand that metar's don't report cirrus clouds but it seems like a pretty easy thing to do if cirrus clouds are generated, then why can't they be generated in 3D? At least a 100 ft or so high. (No idea how tall cirru...

Re: NVIDI Drivers

No worries, glad you got it sorted out.

The CTD must definitely be something else. Easy to just check logs and figure out what the issue was, do some reading up on google.

Happy flying!

Re: out of available memory

Check your driver version. There is an memory leak in newer NVIDIA drivers causing wasted VAS the longer your flight lasts. What he said. Roll back to 376.33 I can guarantee that's the issue. Surprising that neither LM or Nvidia has acknowledged this issue yet, regardless of who's fault it is. I'm ...

Re: NVIDI Drivers

When you say the sim crashed, do you mean a straight crash to desktop or an out of memory error? This is very important to know. If you can please download a VAS monitor, there are plenty available for free, this way you can say for sure if your VAS issue is fixed or not. A crash to desktop could be...

Unusual behaviour of in sim time settings

Hi all, I have been recently noticing some odd behaviour when trying to set up a flight. I use Active Sky 2016 so many times I want to use the Historical Weather option. However I have noticed that there is a discrepancy between AS and the P3D GMT times and the representation of light. Initially I w...

Re: out of available memory

@Adams: all your tips provided aren't solve out of the box installation when reaching more than 1024 texture resolution. I got oom after 2 hours without any addon's and Nvidia GTX 1070 8 go Check your driver version. There is an memory leak in newer NVIDIA drivers causing wasted VAS the longer your...
