Lockheed Martin Prepar3D has created a comprehensive digital distribution and eCommerce system that allows developers and companies to sell and deliver their solutions direct to commercial customers. Developers can create their own store within the Prepar3D Marketplace and track their sales and customers. If you are interested in participating in this program, please fill out our application form.
What is the Prepar3D Marketplace?
The Lockheed Martin Prepar3D Marketplace is an eCommerce-enabled store that allows companies to sell their Prepar3D related applications and products. It is hosted on the Prepar3D website and can also be accessed through our Prepar3D portal application (to be released late 4th Q 2010). Lockheed Martin also provides a digital distribution and digital rights management (DRM) system to further enhance offerings that are purchased through the Prepar3D Marketplace.
Because Prepar3D is compatible with Microsoft Flight Simulator X and Microsoft ESP, sellers can find a brand new market for their existing apps and products!
The Prepar3D Marketplace is the ultimate one-stop source for Prepar3D apps and FSX add-ons are welcome!
Marketplace Application Process
Becoming a vendor on the Prepar3D Marketplace is a four step process:
Step 1: Prepare for your submission to sell your goods through the store.
- Apply to be included in the Prepar3D Marketplace by submitting an application form
http://www.prepar3d.com/index.php/var-and-marketplace-application/ - Submit application/hardware/system descriptions as well as some high-level information about your product.
Step 2: Lockheed Martin will review and if approved, will send a contract.
Step 3: Join the Developer Network. Marketplace vendors will be required to join the Developer Network. This ensures that vendors have access to copies of Prepar3D to conduct testing of their offerings with Prepar3D.
Step 4: Submit any installation files to be wrapped with the Prepar3D MarketPlace DRM for eCommerce and digital distribution along with application description, images and prices.
