Turn Rate of Aircrafts

We found that turn rate compared with bank angle on many aircrafts (P3D original as well 3rd party addons) is not realistic. We found at bank angle of approx. 20° - 25° turn rate is always around 4:00 to 4:30 minutes. It should be around 2:00 (standard turn = 360° in 2:00 minutes). We also found speed is not realy involved in the turnig rate (° per time). In reality we have the approx. formula: IAS speed / 10, add + 7 to get required bank angle for 2 minutes standard turn. Means for the 737-800 we should not exceed much more than 200 kts IAS (200/10 +7 = 27° bank angle) as the coffee on the backwill go out of the cups ...

We could not find and variable in the .air or aircraft.cfg file which does change this behaviour, even building up .air files from scratch with the SDK.

Anybody can help us ?

Don't see this error at all. Just tried with the Carenado Cheyenne II:
At 1000ft and at 200kias with 25° AoB a 180° turn flown with the AP should take 70.9sec and the actual time was 73sec.

BTW, concerning the coffee, with increasing bank angle the g-load increases. So tilting a cup of coffee in front of your PC 30° can't be compared to doing a 30° banked turn in an aircraft ;)

A couple things to consider Peter... you reference indicated airspeed in your formula, but you should be using true airspeed, particularly if at altitude. The theoretical numbers also require a coordinated turn. The easiest way to test this is with the autopilot on with the yaw damper and/or auto-coordination.

If you still see an issue, please provide specific data... aircraft (preferably a stock Prepar3D aircraft), airspeed, altitude, bank angle, and rate.
