System requirements

Postby mopperle » Sat Jan 25, 2020 9:07 am

Really wondering why under minimum system requirements an operating system is being listed that is now no longer supported
Thanks

Because that operating system still exists, and is being run by a number of people that do not want Windows 10, for whatever reason?

I think they (LM) are no longer here to adjust it. ;-)

Your argument, the OS still exists, is a bit simple. As soon as it´s no longer supported, no one can sell software for it. For the private user, this may be no issue, until the day an installation does no longer work under Win7 or the 3rd party does no longer supports you finding the problem you may have under Win7.

IMHO not a good argument. No dev would develop something for a broader audience on a not support OS platform, despite how many users still use it.

Ahem... P3D, including v4, was developed while Win 7 was still supported.....

What happens in the future is a totally different matter.
