Structured Scenario with Multiplayer not working

Hello all,
I have a structured scenario where the initial state is the ownship in the air with an ai aircraft directly in front of it. When the scenario loads everything is as it should be. However, if the scenario is loaded from the Multiplayer dialog, the Host computer works fine but the second computer fails to connect with and error that the scenario could not be validated and that the scenario files must be identical. The two computers or on a LAN and can connect just fine with non-structured scenarios but using a non-structured scenario does not show the ai aircraft. Also, the scenario files are direct copies and are identical. Another factor is that the host needs to share the ownship.
So, what I need is for the host to share the ownship and be the controller and to have an ai aircraft that all players can see. The host is the pilot's view with the cockpit and the second computer provides just the OTW view. I do not have any add on features like TacPak so everything needs to be done with an out-of-the-box installation of Prepar3d (v3.3.5, upgrading may not be an option).
Is this possible?
