2700X optimisation

Postby mpbv » Tue Feb 19, 2019 11:46 pm

Hey guys! :)

I've recently bought a new PC with the following specs:

CPU: AMD 2700X (8C/16T) - Not overclocked.
Mobo: MSI B450 Tomahawk
RAM: G.Skill 32GB Pc3200 DDR4
GFX: MSI Ventus RTX 2080
HDD: Samsung 970 Pro M.2 512GB

Im running Prepar3D V4.4 with addons: Aeosoft Airbus A320 Professional, aerosoft airport sceneries (Egll, EDDF etc.), Rex Texure with Soft clouds, Active Sky for P3d V4.4 and Ezdok.

Resolution is 1440p on a 144hz Freesync IPS monitor.

Im getting an FPS around 38-45 when in EGLL (aerosoft Heathrow) with all addons activated.

Is there any way to increase theese numbers?
Is there any special optimizations I have to do running a Ryzen 2700X?

Sincerely yours,
Matti.

Hi Matty
That sounds fantastic. What do you want to optimize? There is no need for more FPS. If you have more, sometimes loading of textures gets behind.

The only thing I see is hyperthreading setting to off. I don´t know if its still valid for P3D4.4, but in earlier days, it was better to use only real cores. I also only used Intel cpu´s so far. I have the i7-9700K which has 8 cores no hyperthreading. So I don´t have to think about this anyway. I have less fps than you. Haven´t been visiting London so far.

Kind regards

Daniel
