Trust CXT 555 Predator joystick causes P3D V4 to crash

Postby Neo44 » Sat Aug 26, 2017 4:20 pm

I bought a new joystick, Trust CXT 555 Predator joystick with vibration feedback.

If I understood right, P3D needs to be set to direct input to make the vibration feedback work.

I installed the driver that comes with the joystick (20567_02.exe), plugged in the joystick, started P3D and set P3D v4 to directInput. But as soon as I click the radio button for directinput P3D crashes. I also tried to shut down P3D, remove the joystick, start P3D, switch to DirectInput and then plug in the joystick, but as soon as I do that P3D crashes also. It seems that in directinput there is a conflict between the joystick and p3d v4.

When using Raw Input the joystick works without problems, only without vibration feedback.

The cfg file contains the following under [Controls]

stick_sensitivity_mode=0
force_master_enabled=1
force_master_gain=10000
force_stick_force_enabled=1
force_stick_shaker_enabled=1
force_gear_bump_enabled=1
force_crash_enabled=1
force_ground_bumps_enabled=1
force_machinegun_enabled=1
EnableDirectInput=True

Please advice

Have you asked at Trust if the drivers are P3D V4 compatible??..
