Direct X 9.0 failure -lost contact to GNS 750

Postby Mads Granum » Sun Apr 01, 2018 6:27 pm

Hi
I had a perfect running sim until yesterday where I suddenly got the message:

A DirectX command has irrecoverably failed. Make sure you video card meets the minimum system requirements, and fully support DirectX 9.0Ex on Microsoft Vista or later, and is using the latest drivers.

(Debug info: 0x8876086a 1518)

---------
The result is that my Flight 1 GNS 750 can not load anymore.

Can it be a firewall issue?
Hope somebody can help.

P3d 4.1
i7 6700
Win 10
Gtx 1070 with latest driver

I am not sure if this will help, but to make sure that DX9 does not have a problem, get and install the DirectX Redistributables from Microsoft.

Hi Jørgen,
I tried to install what I could find that could contain DirectX Redistributables from Microsoft.
It didn't change anything though. Could you provide me with a direct link, to the file/program suggested, so I'm sure I did the right thing?

I tried to see if the same issue was going on in P3d v3.4 It was even worse.
I couldn't start the program at all - now I deleted P3d v3.4 since I don't need it anymore.
X-Plane 11 is not affected and runs smoothly with great frames.

Do you have any other suggestions? Maybe upgrading to P3d 4.2?
Can I use the (Debug info: 0x8876086a 1518) for anything?
Best,
Mads

You should be talking to Flight1, they can best resolve this issue.

I hope so, and I'm actually waiting for there answer. But since P3d v3 wouldn't start at all I am afraid that it is not only a GNS 750 issue.

Anyway - I can fly a little on my other sims meanwhile. They haven't been flown for awhile :-)
Best;

Hi. I'm having the same exact problem with nearly identical hardware. Could you share the solution you've found if you were able to fix this?
