Prepar3D v4 Crashing with Flightbeam's KMSP

Postby AO1986 » Sat Aug 12, 2017 12:14 am

Hi there,

Prepar3D v4 is constantly crashing. I have narrowed it down to my install of Flightbeam's KMSP. When I install KMSP the sim loads the default F22 just fine. The moment I switch to another default aircraft, I Prepar3d v4 simply quotes or I get the .dll error listed in the first post or a menus.dll error. When I install the KMSP, the sim works just fine. I have reached out to the Flightbeam support team and they can't seem to figure out this anomaly either so I thought I would try to reach out here.

I have deleted cameras.cfg, prepar3d.cfg, and still no luck. Any help would be appreciated!

Here Martyson,

That is the reason I came over to the Prepar3d forum to troubleshoot. I don't think it is the KMSP software but more so the Prepar3d software causing this issue. I see that many simmers are having a similar issue. Not necessarily with the KMSP install but wth the sim shutting down by itself without warning.

Hello AO1986

Can you Copy the content from both dll.xml file's and Paste them into your next post ?

Location: Local Disk (C:) ► ProgramData ► Lockheed Martin ► Prepar3D v4 - dll.xml

Location: Local Disk (C:) ► Users ► You ► AppData ► Roaming ► Lockheed Martin ► Prepar3D v4 - dll.xml

Hello Aaron

Your dll.xml files look fine, I thought maybe you might have conflicting or corrupt entries.

Maybe go through the General debugging steps below, Insure you also follow step 5 "Remove the generated files" Then Introduce your Add On's back slowly testing as you go along
