Where were you in this:
My next thoughts:

Try a P3D repair, test again

Move your Prepar3D.cfg file to the desktop (or another temp backup location) and test again

You could run through all the General Debugging Steps :

This was default scenario again. Was just at my wits end, trying anything I could think of and low and behold, I pressed Q and my FPS shot up. Re-enable sound, and they sink back down again. This is re-install number 2 of P3D, after I did a repair of the first one also.

Are you doing new troubleshooting steps?

What have you done since you mentioned you were (first) doing a repair?
What was the result of the repair and , test again?

What was done next?

Etc.?

FPS issue fixed, but now another one arisen. Whenever I try to select an airport, P3D crashes and leaves no trace in event viewer. Already tried deleting Prepar3D.cfg, scenery.cfg and addons.xml. No luck.

What fixed the FPS problem?

For the next problem it is best to start a new topic in the forum.

Reinstalling my Realtek Audio drivers and selecting my audio mixer as the Primary Playback device fixed the FPS problem. I will open a new topic in the morning for the airport selection issue. Thank you.
