Audio drivers prevent Prepar3d V4 from starting

Postby dando » Fri Jun 02, 2017 8:12 pm

Since purchasing Prepar3d V4 yesterday I cannot get it to start unless I disable ALL Sound playback devices. If I disable all of them the client starts as expected but with no sound. I have tried all of the fixes suggested in the support forum but to no avail. I have the latest Nvidia Graphics driver and I have updated Windows 10 to the latest. I have excluded all P3D folders from my Antivirus. I have the I7 6700K on a Z170 motherboard and a GTX 1080ti Graphics card. My soundcard is a Creative Labs Soundblaster Z. P3D V4 seems very fast and it looks great when it does actually start however the lack of sound is frustrating to say the least. (Windows event viewer states API.DLL as the fault). Is there a fix for this or does anyone have any idea how to resolve it? Many thanks, Darren
