Logbook

Postby downscc » Thu Jun 01, 2017 10:46 pm

The Logbook is not recording origin or destination for any of the sessions I have had to date.
The Learning Center html page for Pilot Records indicates that some, but not all, of the details of the entry can be edited, and it says click Details on a logbook entry. I do not see a Details click spot on any logbook entry.
Some help here please.

I can confirm this also.
Good thing I also manually log everything and can fix it later.

The deeper I dig into this the more I am convinced that this is broken in v4.0. I have decoded logbin.bin for both FSX and P3Dv3 and I am very familiar with the data structure. What I see now looks like the same number of bytes is allocated to the origin and destination ICAO codes, but now the application is using 16b unicode instead of 8b ascii. Someone forgot to revise the old logbook.bin data structure.

Brings back memories from FSX RTM when I had to repair the logbook with a raw hex editor.

It would be awesome if it was possible to load this one from P3DV3 and use it in V4
