[RESOLVED] USB Monitor Issues version 3 and 2.x

Post by Sabre57 »

I have two issues when using USB monitors. I use them for displaying various panels. These problems only occur when the USB monitors are on and connected to the PC. When they are off everything works fine. The issues are:

1. When using the scenario screen, when I click on OK the program asks if I really want to exit, Yes or no. If I click on "no" P3d attempts to load the scenario while still displaying the scenario screen and promptly crashes. If I click on "yes" the sim exits. If I load a flight from the same screen it works just fine.

2. When changing settings the only sub menu that actually works are the graphics settings. No other changes are saved or activated; scenery, lighting, weather, controls, etc. The sim still operates. Under v2.x the sim would crash

My config is:
Win 7 64bit
I5-4750k(I think)
16GB ram
gtx660 with 3GB memory
120GB SSD
1TB HDD
3 23" main monitors using Nvidia surround. Using or not using surround has no affect on this issue.
3 USB monitors, two of which are touchscreens.

Any help or fix would be appreciated, Thanks!

Exactly the same problem here. I reported this for the first time in version 2.2 or 2.3 but it's still around. Somehow they can't seem to fix it.

Just curious if there's been a fix identified for this.

It appears that in version 3.3 this has been fixed. At least on my system. Since this wasn't specifically mentioned in the change log I don't know if this was by design or a by product of another change. Anyway, I'm really glad this has been resolved.
