iSimObject propeller

Postby mchriest » Fri Sep 18, 2015 9:40 pm

Has anyone implemented prop animation on an iSimObject aircraft?

I am unable to animate props inside an iSimObject derived airplane. Animation mapping is all correct, verified by loading my exported .mdl in place of piper cub, where the prop works perfectly.
However, when the model is loaded by an iSimObject, no animation occurs.

I have tried both mapping to the stock prop0_... animations as well as custom animations derived from prop0...
When using the stock prop0_ animations, I register the standard P3D Aircraft vars, PROP MAX RPM PERCENT and PROP ROTATION ANGLE.
PROP MAX RPM PERCENT callback is called, and works correctly in controlling still/slow/blurred visibility, but the PROP ROTATION ANGLE callback is never hit.

When registering my own custom animations and variables, both my rpm and angle funcs are called, but only the visibility value has any effect.

hi mchriest,

Have you used the property debugger tool to see your custom variable changing?

Have you had any luck in debugging this? Let me know if we can help.
