String Formatting

Postby jasonewillis » Thu Nov 15, 2018 1:45 pm

I'm trying to format string for some OnScreenText text box. I've tried using RPN and simple XML formatting but have not seen any results. Examples:

"this is my string"

RPN Attempt: (https://www.prepar3d.com/SDKv4/sdk/scri ... Formatting)
\{bo}this is my string
this is my string\{bo}
\{bo this is my string}

XML Attempt: <b>this is my string</b>

Any help would be great!
Thank you,
Jason

\{bo}this is my string\{nr}

Use the Bold escape code then when you no longer want bold use the escape code to clear all previously set properties.

I just realized that my answer above will not work for the onScreenText. It does work for xml gauge text.

Hello,

As described in the documentation, On Screen Text only supports text based formatting options. The formatting you listed in this topic will only affect xml gauges using RPN syntax.
