Ssd for new i3 gen 8

Postby jamesbowers » Wed Jul 17, 2019 3:40 am

I'm going to buy a Lenovo laptop with the following hardware:
Core i3 gen 8
4 gig ram
4 m cache
Integrated graphics

Now the question: if I replace it's DVD player with a ssd, will the laptop be faster and smoother or because it's new the difference will be unnoticeable?

If it does not yet have an SSD installed, yes, it will be much faster regarding startup and working.

BUT: with or without SSD, with this laptop you will not be able to reasonably use Prepar3d. If, then only on the lowest possible settings, but I doubt that even with the lowest settings you will get anything useful. And do not even think about buying addons... A laptop with the hardware you listed can be used for office work and watching YT videos, that's it. Certainly no gaming and no P3D on such a rig...
