I fly with "adaptive sync", but there are some caveeats:
- It doesn't work in an Aero environment. As I run Windows 7, I had to select a Non-Aero Desktop ( "Windows Classical") and in the advanced system properties deactivate the DWM (or check it is deactivated ?)
- In the NVIDIA Inspector, I set the vertical sync to "half refresh" and vertical sync tear control to "adaptive" for the _GLOBAL_DRIVER_PROFILE - as it has to be done for the windows desktop itself (meanwhile, it seems, this could be done in the NVIDIA control center)
I get tearing below 30 fps in complex environments (enhanced airports, many clouds) but when I'm in higher altitude, stable 30 fps.
As P3D V4 is a windowed application, the Windows Desktop must be brought to adaptive sync.
I don't know if it's possible in Win 10, see here: https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/5405 ... -relation/

I had a conversation with this guy a while back on AVSIM... I did exactly what he said with Game bar and all that stuff. Didn't work. When I asked him to provide at least a screenshot with FPS counter on top he wasn't able to do it.
Things like that just add to the general confusion about this topic.
