Re: SLEW ?

This is not a flightsim problem, it is a joystick/yoke problem. As soon as the joystick/yoke is only minimally off center, the plane will go mad as soon as you press 'Y'. I know this effect since St.Olim's day, when I plugged in a joystick into my MSFS (must have been Fs2k or so) for the very first ...

Re: Hatswitch panning

Strange enough I encountered exactly the same problem yesterday. I've tried the v4 compatible C310 as well as the A2A C172 and C182.... And then I tried to fuddle with Spad.next to get a zooming function into one of the Saitek Yoke buttons (didn't work)... My solution was to re-install a one-week-ol...

Re: Taxiing looks like sight-seeing the airport

Hi Wil, Aside from your topic: Your screenshot looks as if you have a tracking tool showing your course on Google Earth. With P3Dv3 I still use FsEarthLink for that, but the 64bits of P3Dv4 aren't supported by that tecnology. So I'm eagerly looking for what you seem to have (unless the image is hand...

Re: P3DV4 Crash again......

Maybe a kind of workaround, but in no case anything like a solution: I would use FSUIPC for autosaving the current scenario and make the saved file the default startup scenario. This way you at least will be able to continue your flight from the last saving point (I use an interval of 120 seconds), ...

Re: prop and throttle

Are you using Saitek controls?
(I do since a few days, and I've got to re-learn sim-flying!)
And it's now spooky similar: moving the prop control moves also the lever for mixture control.
A double axis assignment in Spad.next (from the downloaded profile I use) was the culprit.

Re: prop and throttle

Sounds strange, but I encounter a similar effect, affecting rudder and brake(s) in v3.4 (not yet in v4.1): Using the default Beech King Air taxiing on ground, I observe the rudder to 'wave' inadvertently like a flag in the wind, when I use my CH pedals for steering on ground. The front gear shows no...

Re: Speed Trees

When you install OrbX Trees, the installer asks for a backup folder where to move the replaced (tree texture) files.
So it should be possible to copy these files back - and regain even Speed Trees files.

Re: Sun flare bug urgent to be fixed!!

Wow!
What settings are you using to get THESE flares?
My sun has nothing like it, a simple bright ball in the sky.
(Yes, lens flare is checked).

Re: Extended 3-5 second Pauses (Cause Unknown)

Could it have something to do with ATC soundfiles to be loaded?
I encounter pauses of 2-5 seconds each time, when I come into the reach of an airport ATC broadcaster. When P3D finishes the pause, the ATC message is coming in.

Re: Add ons with new version

Hi Mark,

Aerosoft provides a list of v4 compatible addons of various producers: https://www.aerosoft.com/en/fsxp3d/news ... compatible
Though regularly updated, I don't know, in how far it is complete.

Re: P3D4 autostart

Open the program "msconfig", go to the label "startup tasks", you should find (whyever!) a P3D entry there.
Untick the checkbox, restart the PC, and that's it.
At least the easiest soluable reason for your problem.

Re: v4.1: autogen still loading late and in patches

Zap, Sorry if my observation was only waste of time and space (in the forum). For ME it's the first time with v4.x that the patches are no more problem. Aside of that: late-loading of autogen is a problem, one may be confronted with even at low and slow (180 kn) speeds - so did I. And my new setting...

Re: v4.1: autogen still loading late and in patches

Back to preport from my formerly announced test: I repeated the flight from about 25 minutes east of Kansas City, following the IS70 westward until about Abilene. What remained the same (in comparison to my last flight of that route)? - aircraft, scenery with addons, route. Weather (from AS4) had ch...

Pause before ATC starts (v4.1)

Short question: Is there a known way to avoid the 1-2 seconds pause initial to ATC messages? Explanation: I don't follow the flight-following frequencies regularly (I like a quiet cockpit ;o) ) and so, when eventually coming into the range of a broadcasting station, P3D will "take a deep breath" (i....
