Re: Runway and taxi lights floating above the ground.

I have made a video, in which I present an add-on that replaces the floating default taxiway lights by a more realistic looking version. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pA0UKBsfBQo Here is some information beforehand: - The tool, called "Airport Wizard", was developed for FSX and FS2004, but it can ...

Re: Possible new VAS issue in v3.4

Personally, I use an old driver (361.43) for my GTX 750Ti, which runs flawlessly and does not cause any VAS issues (even with v3.4.22). If I do not play the newest PC games, I see no reason to be up to date with Nvidia drivers. I doubt that there is any measurable performance gain in P3D from using ...

Re: Possible new VAS issue in v3.4

Have you only tested with NGX or with other airplanes as well? Also, have you tested with LOD less than 6.5?

GMT Time Bug in Startup Screen

Hi, I wanted to bring to your attention the GMT time bug in the startup-screen that has been existing since the first version of P3D v3. What happens is that e.g. if you activate the checkbox "GMT Time" and you select an airport that is located in a different time zone than the default scenario (Egl...

Re: Flight planner tool

Hi Martyson, We've confirmed the following issue: Waypoints are hard to create when the flight plane's route has non-negligible curvature to it. The mouse hit test is apparently looking for a line between points A and B and not expecting a curved line. As you have pointed out, there are workarounds...

Re: Flight planner tool

So far I have only used GPS routes (with manual waypoint adjustments). I need to try it with other routes.

Re: Flight planner tool

My occasional problem with the internal flight planner is that clicking on the red route line and trying to drag it to a waypoint or a navigational facility does not work. The line simply does not move when I click on it. This is especially true with longer legs and when the map is zoomed out. I wou...

Re: Anyone seen this anomoly?

You are using unlimited visibility, which is very unrealistic. If you fly in the real world, you will always see some amount of haze on the horizon, no matter what altitude you are flying at. I would simply limit the visibility; this will obscure the anomaly and provide a more realistic environment.

Re: Joystick Lag -- P3D 3.4

A question: Do you only experience the lag when using the coolie hat (to change the views), or also if you move the stick/yoke?

Re: Additions to P3D.cfg

Maybe you are using an add-on that adds these entries into your p3d.cfg? There are some add-ons out there that tweak the configuration file. Which add-ons are you using?

Re: Possible new VAS issue in v3.4

If you have 1700 MB VAS left while he gets an OOM flying the same route with a similarly complex airliner, something must be very different with regard to the computer system and add-ons installed. You might refer to this post by Adam Breed, where he gives some tips on what you can try to address th...

Re: OOM reproducible

+1 I also appreciate your detailed and reproducible description of the phenomenon, which has helped LM identify the bug. This is refreshing and constructive amid a huge number of posts that complain that they have an OOM, but do not provide specific steps on how to reproduce the error or even list t...

Re: Prepar3D V3.4 Hotfix 2 Released v 3.4 (18.19475 )

If you have installed v3.2, you need to uninstall the client related to v3.2. Then you can directly install the v3.4.18 client (it usually takes a few seconds).
