Re: System requirements

Because that operating system still exists, and is being run by a number of people that do not want Windows 10, for whatever reason? Jorgen Your argument, the OS still exists, is a bit simple. As soon as it´s no longer supported, no one can sell software for it. For the private user, this may be no...

Re: System requirements

Really wondering why under minimum system requirements an operating system is being listed that is now no longer supported
I think they (LM) are no longer here to adjust it. ;-)

Re: I7-9700K with P3D

@Martison @funknnasty

So your message is, P3D4 is better with hyper-threading?

@funknnasty
Is the lower graph with more spikes without hyper threading? Looks like this produces more little freezes, than the upper one with an even load.

Re: NTDLL issue

Avsim made a CTD guide. Also google can give you more hints with a search for "Prepar3d NTDLL.dll ctd"

I found also this

Re: Future of P3D

These were other times and LM is still in the old times I guess. Today active communication is the strategy. As I said before, to me it looks like LM has laid down its arms. So if I was not upset about Microsoft leaving us alone with FSX, I'd rather go for the new platform, because they promise some...

Re: I7-9700K with P3D

I can also confirm no problems here with i7-9700K OC @ 5GHz with air cooler from Noctua. Temperarture stays between 60-70 Deg Celsius. A good air cooler is recommended with a good heat transfer rate. Also the case must be large to allow a sufficient air flow. When I bought the system in November 201...

Re: Future of P3D

Blaunarwal, I will take the liberty of repeating a statement I made earlier: "You are asking a company to reveal their marketing strategy. Not going to happen." And I will add: especially not in this situation. Jorgen Jorgen, you still don't understand the point here. As a former communication offi...

Re: Future of P3D

I think Lockheed Martin should make a statement to their community here. It is not contemporary to just sit this out in silence. At the moment, it looks, like they gave up after the first announcement of MSFS.

Re: Re-installing the Scenery Component of P3Dv4.5hf#2

Tks to you. My new MB will be an Asus. I have a watercooler & a case with more than enough ventilation (1 front panel + 4 in lateral door). I just saw, there are new CPUs with 12 cores i9-10920X and 14 cores Core i9-10940X available from Intel. If you have time and money, go for these. The mobo for...

Re: Chevrolet Suburban - Released

Christian, were on the Prepar3D not FSX forum ;-). Did you ever try the car in P3D4.5 HF2?
This meant the P3Dv4 version. There are some versions: V4.0, 4.3 etc. The Chevrolet was developed on a current P3Dv4.5.

What an imprudent or ignorant answer.

Re: Chevrolet Suburban WIP

New version 1.01, new behavior. Applying brake, starting engine, I can´t switch gears. Steering works now. Shutting engine, the gear lever works. Starting engine, gear lever is blocked. No difference, if brake is set or not. Now also pushing the stick forward or back does not have an effect. Stick w...

Re: Chevrolet Suburban - Released

Without precise information about which flight simulator version is used it is difficult to help. But maybe you applied the parking brake (left foot pedal) ;-) In the meantime an Update v1.01 has been released: http://www.bahrometrix.de/downloads/chevrolet-suburban/ Changes – Corrupt XML file excha...

Re: Re-installing the Scenery Component of P3Dv4.5hf#2

Warranty is one thing, the other is controlling temperature. There are programs coming with the board supplier to read temperature of the cpu and the board etc. I don´t know the actual limits but check to not go above 80 C. This should be achieved with air cooling only if everything is free of dust ...

Re: Re-installing the Scenery Component of P3Dv4.5hf#2

Hi, Dan This topic was one that I was trying to find. I'm having a lot of help from another member, Jorgen, but I don't want to spend all his pacience. I have 3 1TB SSD (C:\OS + E:\P3Dv4_4.5_no HF + G:\Sceneries_Addons) Upgrading to a new and much more powerful system I need some clarification: De-...
