VAS leak with NVIDIA drivers

I also had VAS problems with NVIDIA last drivers issued after version 376.33. But now using 381.65 in Windows 10 those problems seem to be gone e.g. after 4 hours on CRZ level the remaining VAS still is constant at app. 1000 MB.

Re: Is there any working commercial ATC software for PREPAR3D V3?

Look here and you will find a lot of additional voice-sets for PRO-ATC/X. There is also one available für the pilot (doing the Pro-ATC/X ATC commnunication) which fits to the Aerosoft Airbus PF/PNF checklist voices ....

Re: DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG

Hi, since a couple of weeks I also experienced this "DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG" problem. I do not know exactly since when this started but based on another reason I now made a full clean new install of P3D v3.4.22.19868. Previously (since v3.0) I allways just updated the client but now I made a complet...

Re: Newest Nvidia driver causes memory leak

I just changed back as proposed to 376.33 and can confirm that the behaviour in connection with VAS is much better. During the flight there is nearly no buildup of memory used and just before landing I had several hundred MB more of free VAS than with version 376.66. So it is a try worth. Maybe if w...

Re: DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG

Kosta, I found one file "nvlddmkm.sys" on my system C:\Windows\System32\drivers dated 10.02.2017 as well as a lot of others in ......DriverStore\FileRepository\xxxxx dating from 10.06.2009 until 10.02.2017..... The version of this single file in C:\Windows\System32\drivers is 21.21.13.7866 and the d...

Re: DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG

I clearly can state that this problem is not related to the NVIDIA driver used. I changed my P3D v3.4.22 installation back to the very old NVIDIA driver version 350.12 and still had this error or a total freeze of P3D and the PC on certain occasions. Until now I was not able to identify the cause or...

Re: Possible new VAS issue in v3.4

Sadly, I have found no improvement following the latest hotfix. If anything it is worse. I struggle to complete a VFR flight with Sparse settings. Something is really wrong with my installation of 3.4. I am toying with reverting back to v 3.3, but am not sure if it would have to be client only or c...

Re: Possible new VAS issue in v3.4

Let us go back to the subject " Possible new VAS issue in v3.4 " and not talking about OOMs in generally. In the mean time I did some other test flights and the generally behaviour is allways the same - only the VAS values differ based on the various P3D settings (or disabled addons) I te...

Re: Possible new VAS issue in v3.4

, So in the end, you can bark all you want whose fault it is or it is not, nobody can really fix it, as we are limited and the only way is to remove the offending scenery. I say remove Germany and see how your VAS behaves then. Not only if you are able to land, but notice how VAS is performing, is ...

Re: Possible new VAS issue in v3.4

After installing HF2 the situation using again the a. m. mentioned flight did not really change. Approaching EDDF I again got an OOM. But two interesting things I tried and recognized the following: 1. If I reload the scenery before T/D the used VAS did not really change and again I got the OOM nea...

Re: Possible new VAS issue in v3.4

I am running on a highend-PC all 4 FTX-Products (Global, LC, Vector, Northern Germany) and flying the Aerosoft Airbus. Before version 3.4 I never experienced CTD or OOMs. I also recognized that VAS is now allways increasing if I fly in a "populated" area. The problem seems to be that no l...

Re: 3.2 crash

Because the Addon-Manager just updates the file dll.xml in C:\Users\Your Name\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3 "but not in C:\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3 - and this seems to be folder P3D V3.2 uses.

Re: 3.2 crash

The reason seems to be that the dl..xml file from the APP-Data folder is not copied during de-installation and re-installing CLIENT as well as CONTENT into the ProgramData folder. One user from the GSX-Forum fould the solution: Copy the dll.xml from : C:\Users\Your Name\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Mart...
