Re: PMDG 737 Prepar3d -- Aircraft crashes on runway after it loads

You have to exit P3D and give it a minute to shut down completely (it take a minute) then restart P3D and load your aircraft. You don't have to reboot your PC thankfully, because I beta test PMDG and this would be a PITA. You cannot load any complex aircraft such as the NGX on top of itself. See the...

Re: Load saved situations - Time and date

Interesting. It appears that v4.5 is ignoring the season-date-time section, which is probably part of their change to return to the Scenery Setup screen after loading a scenario.

Re: 30 or 31 Target frame rate?

Many have found that leaving the fps lock set to unlimited in P3D, and setting the fps outside the sim produces the most fluid experience. This was okay in P3Dv3 but not recommended for v4 because P3D internally manages workload based on the frame rate value. It adjust accordingly when the user sel...

Re: Missing add ons

Wow I really don't understand how removing then installing client and content can have any impact on add-ons. I assume you remove the modules using the Windows Apps for the uninstall? I assume you did not deactivate the license? None of the configuration files used by P3D for addons should be effect...

Re: v4.5 licencing on upgrade PC

I did the same thing (cpu, mobo) about a year ago and while my memory of the details is fuzzy I am pretty sure that I simply booted up with the new hardware and P3D and all my addons worked. It is possible that I had to reauthenticate the license for P3D but that only takes a moment.

Re: CTD 9 Hours in to flight

Where in the flight simulation world did this happen? By any chance was it in a isolated region such as Hudson Bay to Greenland and do you have any product from FSDT? If you have anything from FSDT please run the FSDT Live Updater regardless of the fact that it doesn't say an update is available. Th...

Re: memory message error

All I can say is that I have been running without a page file (without virtual memory), since 2012. First on a system with 8 GB of RAM and under Windows 8, then 8.1 and finally 10, and now on my second system with 16 GB of RAM under Windows 10. No memory issues apart from those mentioned. Re: Moving P3D.

You really really should uninstall all and install in new location. You must deactivate your P3D license during the uninstall of it because the license will have to be re-authenticated in the new drive. One option you might have is to just move Orbx using a symbolic link. The instructions are how to...

Re: 30 or 31 Target frame rate?

I'd argue there is no difference, unless you are having a problem with the rendering or animation. One popular setup if your frame rate unlocked never drops below 33 is to set the monitor to 30 Hz refresh and use VSync and Triple Buffering. In the old days when monitors were CRTs and our displays we...

Deleted shaders after updating? Also be sure your HDR settings are the same in the update and prior version, looks like HDR bloom doesn't it?

Re: Aircraft Jumped when takeoff

Hi developer of P3D, I`m using P3D v4.4. During takeoff, it is Not a smoothing takeoff. If Ím leaving the ground, My Aircraft jumped a little bit. What can be the Reason? Best Michael This sounds exactly like an issue the simulator platform has where there is a nearby boundary between water and ter...

Re: memory message error

I have not used virtual memory for years, with Windows 8, 8.1 and now 10, ever since I got 16 GB of RAM. I have had OOM messages with FSX over very complicated scenery and had to turn the graphics settings down there to get rid of them (the 4 GB VAS limitation in 32-bit FSX), with P3D I have only h...

Re: RAM guidelines?

P3D is not sensitive to RAM speed in any way that you will notice. Much of the scenery rendering is buffered and the speed of the CPU is far more important.

You contradict yourself with this post: https://www.prepar3d.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6322&t=133253#p196697 I found the solution anyway. Thanks.
