Re: dxgi error device removed...

I cannot believe after many many months of error free simming that I am back at this thread!! As you can see I have contributed a great number of posts to this thread about my own issues and attempts to rectify it and the only helpful remedy I discovered was when I reduced the Power Limit in the sim...

Re: dxgi error device removed...

Further to my previous post but sadly the Panel edit did NOT work. Sim was running a test all afternoon and it crashed after approx 3.5 hours. I came home and there's the usual DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG error. Looks like Ive no choice but to reduce my Power Limit setting again as nothing else prevented...

Re: dxgi error device removed...

Hi "ferminlopezes", Have you tried : It won't do any harm to modifly your .cfg and it might even cure your problem! I have not tried it yet. As soon as I do, I tell you. Only h updated to the latest nvidia drivers. Now I want to update to version 4.4 of P3d to see if the error disappears, .... Yest...

Re: I have a strange behavior of Target frame rate on P3d 4.4

Sorry but I disagree with that article. 30FPS certainly does not look smooth enough for me, especially when planning around the cockpit as is done lots during normal operations. I dont find 30 too bad as have my frames synced to 30 mhz on my monitor. I do however notice if it drops. Articles like t...

Re: dxgi error device removed...

I've been plagued with DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG crashes since June or July. I made a very long post begging for Lockheed Martin's help and they didn't even acknowledge it with the exception of amalgamating it into this post. It is on Page 2 of this thread and lists, at that point of time all I had tri...

Re: Texture_Size_Exp & Long Frames

I too experienced a long frame with consistent intervals between when using TEXTURE_SIZE_EXP=10. I have a i7 6700K and a GTX 1080ti. GPUz shows memory use is only around 9GB. I have tried both setting my monitor refresh rate to 30hz and running unlimited in the sim with vsync and triple buffering en...

Re: 4k resultion with GF 1080ti 11GB

I am in work so not near my pc to confirm the exact option but in nVidia Control Panel when you select the resolution make sure it does not say 'Limited' down near the bottom. Think this relates to the range of the colour space. May not help but I notice lower graphic quality if it does not say "Ful...

Re: dxgi error device removed...

[/quote] I personally push the limits settings wise and lock frames at 20. I also likely fly much more often then most others usually have the sim running constantly depending on flight lengths, etc. Currently flying PMDG 777LR from EGLL (Aerosoft) to YMML (Orbx) and almost 9 hours in its all smooth...

Re: dxgi error device removed...

Did you check the Windows Event viewer again? Sorry I forgot to check, just did and its pretty much the same as before, I dont get any mention of Prepar3D in the Windows Logs / Application list. I got two entries the same at 08:53:19 and 08:53:20 Fault bucket , type 0 Event Name: LiveKernelEvent Re...

"I dont think I can deselect the other items on the driver install but I will try again" If the options are initially Checked by default, left click each one to un-select it. Re: dxgi error device removed...

Chris, What type of crash are you getting now? Are you still seeing this type of message?: "Exactly 10 seconds earlier under 'System' it says Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered." When you install a new Nvidia version are you installing all optional items like ...

Re: dxgi error device removed...

Chris, For screenshots go to the screenshot forum and there is information there. The helpful information from the event viewer example: If a program stopped working e.g., CTD (crashed to desktop), Go to the Windows Event Viewer to see the Faulting Module Name that caused your problem. Click on: St...

Re: dxgi error device removed...

I looked through slightly older events and see this, unsure if it helps or not. Tonights crash only showed what is in my previous post: Faulting application name: Prepar3D.exe, version: 4.3.29.25520, time stamp: 0x5b2c3263 Faulting module name: ntdll.dll, version: 10.0.17134.254, time stamp: 0xa5a33...
