Re: Micro Stutters With Good FPS

Micro Stutters with good fps. That is exactly the problem I had recently after a full upgrade: Win7 to Win10, CPU, MB and Video. Took a while before finding the solution: tried the usual diagnostics like new p3d.cfg, delete shaders, video drivers changes, etc... All to no avail. Then I read in a thr...

Re: FSTrans voice message

Seems to be associated with the recent Nvidia drivers.
So far I have been unable to shut it off.

Re: New Titan RTX - P3D display now worse than before?

Video driver used ??
Also, a change in video card requires a clean up of the shaders

Re: Crash. A solution

Well, in my case it has been quite simple to solve. cmeteo.dll was active, so I de-activated it. That dll is not compatible with Milviz wx radar. I knew that but had forgotten about it. So you install a new Carenado a/c and cmeteo is back on. Tested with 2 hours of flying with different a/c in rain/...

Re: Plagued with KernelBase.Dll CTD Errors with 4.4

For what it's worth:
try an older video driver. I'm using 378.78 on GTX1080ti without issues.

Re: Question about Microstutters in P3Dv4.3

Your Prepar3D.cfg file Reduce in Graphics" "texture_max_load=4096" to 1024 for a start; in "Main" section the resolutions shown 2443,1421 and 2560,1440 do not match your "Display.device.nvidia geforce gtx 1080 ti.0.0" at 2560x1600x32 To resolve this, backup your Prepar3d.cfg and let P3D rebuild a n...

Re: Question about Microstutters in P3Dv4.3

That 40 min test would indicate that the PC is fine most likely. So, we can concentrate on the P3d configuration: 1. could you show a printscreen of your processes? Type Ctrl Shift Escape. How many processes running? You will see that at the bottom of the Windows Task Manager: Processes:xx CPU Usage...

Re: Question about Microstutters in P3Dv4.3

Ok Winston, I think I see in your last shot the actual delay in frames. One suggestion: try this utility "DPC Latency checker". It is quite safe and available on the web. The utility will tell you if you have latency problems (dropouts causing stutters). So, you run this from the desktop without any...

Re: Question about Microstutters in P3Dv4.3

A quick look at your picture tells me this: You need to optimize Win10: reduce the number of crapware (useless software for a flight simming machine that will take resources away) You need to search the web for this. You will find a lot of results. People using Win10 might help you here. I use Win7 ...

Re: Texture_Size_Exp & Long Frames

For 4k/30hz setup, it is known that frames limits should be set to "unlimited".
The 30hz will lock your frames to 30fps.

Re: Performance

You have 2 display settings:
one for the 7600 and the other for 7670 ???. Check that.
Also your affinity mask: are you sure? Try without.

Update:
This "effect" also occurs in P3Dv4.1 although less frequent.
