Recovering my airport sceneries after re-installing P3Dv4.3

I have recently got a problem with P3Dv4.3 getting no further than its splash screen. I have re-installed P3Dv4.3. I therefore followed the advice to delete the following: %PROGRAMDATA%\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4 %LOCALAPPDATA%\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4 %APPDATA%\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4 P3Dv4...

Re: Resolution message at bootup?

Rob,
I have had this situation a number of times now. I have never tried sleep or hibernate on my PC.
I had assumed it to be a new 'facility' in a Windows update that tries to restart the last running app.
But then, it does not happen every time.

Auto Hide Menu Bar

In P3Dv4.2, there is an option 'Hide Menu Bar' which causes the menu bar to be hidden/displayed. Could this instead be changed to 'Auto Hide Menu Bar' so then, when checked, the menu bar is automatically hidden? It could then be unchecked to be displayed and also displayed if the cursor is placed wh...

Re: How to reset a default aircaft

Hi Dan, Many thanks for your prompt reply. I am not sure what you mean by 'scenario' to be deleted. My problem at present is that I cannot get P3Dv4.1 to start, so I cannot get to its settings. As soon as the splash is covered by the loading bar, the program abends. Without getting any further, I am...

[RESOLVED] How to reset a default aircaft

Today I set my PMDG 777-300ER as the default aircraft for P3Dv4.1 without knowing that this will cause problems. I now cannot start P3D. As soon as the software loading panel appears, the program abends. I have uninstalled ChasePlane temporarily but this does not help. Keven at ChasePlane says that ...

Re: SimConnect not working?

Hi Jorge and Zkiwi, Many thanks for your responses. Instead of just running the three .msi files as Administrator, I decided to uninstall each first. The reinstall then gave an Accept/Decline option which I had not seen previously. This fixed it! So now I am on the road to recovery. Again many thank...

Re: SimConnect not working?

Hi!
I am running on a single PC and therefore believe that I do not require a SimConnect.xml file. I have been told that it is only required for a server.
If this is not true, perhaps you could send a copy of your file to me at speedbird747@ntlworld.com.
Many thanks, Richard

[RESOLVED] SimConnect not working?

I cannot get my PMDG 777 to connect to P3Dv4.1. When I start P3D and load the default fighter aircraft, everything appears normal. However, when I load my 777 I only get a blank P3D screen. The Windows Task Manager shows that P3D is occupying the usual amount of memory, but the CPU usage is 0%. The ...

Re: Can't Init SimConnect - error code 0x80004005

Hi Brady, I am using P4Dv4.1 which I have re-installed just yesterday on my PC which has up-to-date Windows 10 Home running on an i7-7700K CPU, 16GB memory and GeForce GTX 1080 Ti. I have followed the instructions in the FAQ and for each of: - C:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4 (or the mod...
