Re: P3D v4.1 still disappears (CTD) with no error message

Len, WHEA error logging indicates a hardware issue. This could potentially be a number of things including poor voltage, static damage, processor cache errors, etc. Some things to try are updating BIOS and drivers, checking temperatures and fans, and factory resetting any overclocking. You will need...

Re: FPS Spike with Vsync

Performance will vary depending on the situation. Large airports can be very performance intensive. You may need to adjust your settings accordingly depending on where you're spending a lot of your time in a flight.

We aren't seeing this issue with default content. Can you try going through our general debugging steps and see if they help narrow down the cause of the issue?

If you haven't already I also recommend contacting the developer to see if they can reproduce and fix the issue.

Re: Duplicate Objects after installing scenery update

HI Arclight,

We aren't seeing this issue in default content. That BGL file may have been modified by this add-on. I recommend contacting T2G with this issue to see if they are able to replicate it.

Re: V4.1 suddenly shuts down

Thanks Vaughan, that seems to be an intermittent issue and we'll look into it. Either refreshing the page or clicking the blank box should move these options out of the way of the message.

Re: V4.1 suddenly shuts down

One option that can really help us track down crashes is to send us a crash dump. You'll need to have Visual Studio 2015 installed to generate this. When Prepar3D crashes, the option to debug through Visual Studio should appear. Attach to the Prepar3D process and then go to Debug --> Save Dump As to...

Re: VC++ redistributable package

Hi Eric, A quick way to check for errors is to check the "Enable Content Error Reporting" checkbox in Options->General->Application. This will output any content errors to the ContentErrors.txt file in the "%userprofile%\Documents\Prepar3D v4 Files" directory. There may be a missing file or incorrec...

Re: P3D 4.1 Crash to Desktop

Hi Craig, If you have Visual Studio 2015 installed, an option would be to provide a crash dump to us. When Prepar3D crashes, the option to debug through Visual Studio should appear. Attach to the Prepar3D process and then go to Debug --> Save Dump As to save the memory dump. Feel free to upload that...

Re: Cockpit view

There might be another add-on or other setting that could be affecting this. Can you try going through our general debugging steps to see if this narrows down the issue?

Re: V4.1 suddenly shuts down

Hi Mike,

Are you seeing this with no add-ons installed? Also you previously mentioned downgrading to 4.0. Are all components installed on your machine currently on 4.1 (client, content, scenery)?

Rob McCarthy
