Re: DIS Radios functional?

Hi dgadomski, The Transmitter PDUs you are seeing are likely from navigation aids rather than radios. There is limited radio support for DIS. Radios are triggered using the same key events as multiplayer. These events can be assigned to a keyboard or joystick using the controls UI. If you search for...

Re: HLA

Hi James,

The HLA library used by Prepar3D is not currently configurable. The OpenRTI library is loaded by default when Prepar3D starts.

Re: Broken variable (?): ELEVATOR TRIM POSITION

Hi Peter,

Simulation variables are not settable from an XML gauge. Instead, you will want to use Key Events. For elevator trim, this would be the "ELEVATOR_TRIM_SET" key event.

RPN Example:

0 (>K:ELEVATOR_TRIM_SET)

or

16383 (>K:ELEVATOR_TRIM_SET)

Hope this helps!

Re: IWeatherSystem Service issue

Hi tauseefAhmed,

Can you post an example METAR string? Are you near the weather station you are trying to set? Are you passing in a valid Unicode string into the function?

Thanks.

Re: Implementing lua scripts for temperature adjustments

Hi tauseef, For your use case I would recommend having your plugin calculate the temperature scale instead of the lua script. The PDK ISimObjectManagerV440 service has a GetObjectsInRadius function. This could be used to iterate over individual SimObjects. For each object, you could calculate the te...

Re: F-16 Model and loadout

Hello, The wingtip pylons are built into the non-parachute models. You can probably re-add these wingtip pylons for the parachute versions using the Attachments.xml file. The "pylon_light_wingtip" would be the PylonTitle to use. You may need to create a new Station and use PositionOffset and Orienta...

Re: ATIS conflict between wind direction and assigned runway

Hi Urmel,

Does setting "Secondary Landing" to YES for runway 07L/25R have any effect?

You can try to do the same for the fake runways. For each runway, set "Secondary Landing" so that it matches the "Primary Landing" value.

These changes should mimic the HF1 behavior.

Thanks.

Re: ATIS conflict between wind direction and assigned runway

Hi KampfHase, What settings are you using for secondaryLanding on your runways? Previous to HF2 this setting was ignored. Instead, it was incorrectly being replaced by the primaryLanding value. Does setting secondaryLanding to match primaryLanding have any effect? This would recreate the behavior se...

Re: Implementing lua scripts for temperature adjustments

Hi Tauseef, Would it be easier to determine your temperate scale value in both the material script as well as the SimConnect add-on? Instead of trying to pull the temperature scale from the individual object, your SimConnect application could recalculate based on the object selected by the targeting...

Re: Implementing lua scripts for temperature adjustments

Hello, The correct SDK sample to reference is MyEngine, I've updated the above post. I misspoke in my previous post. Unfortunately, lua scripts cannot varset simulation variables (A:). One option would be to have your plugin drive the custom temperature variable. Then the material script could varge...

Re: Implementing lua scripts for temperature adjustments

Hello, Material variables (T:) are currently only available to the individual material scripts. They cannot be accessed by SimConnect. There is no simulation variable (A:) that represents temperature scale, however you could register a custom property onto the SimObject using the PDK. In MyEngine SD...

Re: I cant get the IDISManagerV450.

Hi MicMac44, It looks like there is an issue with QueryService for the IDISManagerV450 interface. Instead, please try querying for the IDISManagerV440 interface using the IID_IDISManagerV440 guid. If you need functionality from the V450 interface that is not available in the V440 interface, you shou...

Re: F16 setup guide

Hi Steve,

There is a operation manual located in the base F-16 SimObject directory:

SimObjects\Airplanes\F-16 Base\manual

The F-16 is also equipped with a panel that can toggle between "Cold and Dark" and "Ready to Fly" states. You can open it by pressing Shift+1.

Hope this helps!

Re: Joysticks were blocking as soon as prepar3D starts

Hi SimStar,

Can you try changing the Control API from Raw Input to DirectInput? This can be done via Settings > Options > Controls > Other > Controls API.

Thanks.
