Post Flight Model capabilities..

As someone who has been intensely involved in the creation of flight dynamics for FSX for the past few years I'm curious if Prepar3d expands on FSX's capabilities or ( hopefully ) possibly replaces them with a more accurate set of subroutines. Does it for example provide for newer technologies such as vectored thrust ( an impossibility in FSX )??? What about propellers?? I have a c-27 i'm modeling and if i set the correct MOI for that propeller the engine wont even turn over in FSX.
What reasons should I as a flight dynamics engineer have for programming for your platform??

We continue to make improvements to the core platform and although we have not yet addressed flight modelling, it is something that has already been brought to our attention by others, particularly the helicopter community, whom desire to see more realistic flight dynamics for rotary wing operations. I am sure that you are aware that the modern Lockheed aircraft have vectored thrust capabilities, so it is hoped that this kind of generic improvement will see their way into the product as well in the future, or at least the ability for developers to create this.

That is a definite issue for us in the helicopter development area, things like autorotations are next to impossible to program into the fsx/P3D coding. Although one developer has more or less got a working autorotation going in their helicopter, we turn a product out about every 3-4 months and being able to program things like autorotation and settling of power (vortex ring state) would enable us to produce more accurate performance. Although I do understand that you are taking over someone else's work we look forward to advancements on that side of the development spectrum.

I have recently bought P3D and was hoping that LM had fixed the control mapping. In FSX the collective and throttle are not mapped individually but both are mapped as one control under 'throttle'. I have noticed since owning my copy tha LM have not addressed this yet. My question is will LM be fixing this issue in an upcoming version?

Collective and throttle have always been separate in FS, you just control the engine throttle with the prop pitch axis. (Assuming the governor is off.)
