Post 2D gauges not showing

I installed a RF-101C I built for FSXA in Prepar3d. It has a mix of 3D and 2D gauges. The 3D ones include some controlled by xml code in the gauges folder and they are static, No 2D gauges/panels are visible. None of the XML gauge code appears to be recognised. I copied over the gauges in a folder, not in a cab, but that should not matter. There are pop-up gauges that work and they came from a folder in the panel directory. I tried putting my gauge code folder there but that did not work either. It looks like the panel config entries for gauges are not being found.

In VC cockpit view everything (apart from the missing gauges) looks normal. If I select cockipit view I see ahead ( I have only VC cockpit entries in the panel config except for pop-ups.)

The side console VC panels are missing. Nothing in my folder of XML gauges is being addressed.

To be more specific. The gauges that did not show were in FS9 XML format. I did transfer a helicopter and a gauge in ACES/ simprop compiler format showed, though it did not work correctly.
Looking at the released gauges, there appear to be many in FS9 XML format, but none of mine work.
Question 1. Does the P3D XML parser recognize FS9 XML format gauges?
Question 2. Does the "academic" version of P3D version 1.4 allow me to add aircraft and gauges. It certainly lets me add aircraft.
Question 3. Am I posting this query in the wrong forum because I'm getting no response?

You will need to contact the developer for help as LM do not provide support for 3rd party fsx addons.

I am the developer and I am not looking for support for my addon. I was asking whether P3D recognises FS9 XML format gauges. Can you at least point me at a forum where I can get a technical answer to a simple question?
