I have just purchased the full version of Prepar3d. Downloaded the 3 files using a download manager, everything appeared to be fine. Have excluded the folder from my anti virus (Kaspersky). Followed the instructions to extract and I am getting the Error 0x800040005 message when extracting the 001.zip. I have re downloaded the file and am still getting the same problem.
I was using the windows 7 (64 bit) extract utility - and have now just tried using WinRar. I have been getting the following error message for most of the files !
'C:\Prepar3d\Prepar3D_1.4.4747.0-003.zip: CRC failed in Prepar3D 1.4.4747.0 Flat Installer\DataXX.cab. The file is corrupt'
for all of the files with the exception of Data11 Cab which has extracted OK.
UPDATE: I had been using the Chrome browser and decided to re download with Internet Explorer 9 - that has worked better - I now have all file except Data12.cab - so am redownloading 002.zip and hope this works. This seems a complicated process for an expensive piece of software. I have owned it for 24 hours and as of yet have not been able to download all of the files in a non corrupt format.
UPDATE2: Have re downloaded the 002.zip and Data12.cab is still being reported as corrupt. At a lost now as to what to do. The corrupt error message appears as the extract hits 99%. The size of the downloaded 002 zip file is 4,192,971 KB
UPDATE3: Does this help - when I open the properties of the 002 zip file it shows Total length as 4,294,965,248 and Packed length as 4,293,601,769.
UPDATE4: Downloaded the 002 zip file again - and this time it worked!!!!! So now got Prepar3d up and running and looking forward to enjoying |
