Post KERNELBASE issue
on: August 22, 2012, 13:02

Hello,

It seems that I too, am having issues with this as others do. My happens when trying to save a flight. But I have also notice if I try and select any sub tab under the "FLIGHT" tab. The CTD happens. Is there a fix or work around for this issue?
BTW, I have all permission and rights on the drive that contains P3D, I have also run the checks that have been proposed to others as well.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Arclight,

could it be possible, that there is any FSX-Flight in the Flights-Folder?

If so, that problem you describe can occur, either when the flight is saved in a subfolder inside the flights-folder.

Greetings
Marcus

Hello Marcus,

No, there is no FSX-Flight in the Flights-folder. I have also check the Prepar3D folder in My document just in case and nothing there either.

It is a very strange problem.

Thanks for your reply though!

Is it a clean install 1.4 or an update from 1.3 >> 1.4

I had 1.3 and removed it completely. I then installed 1.4

Ok i also have this error on a clean V1.4 install. Should also note my task manager with W7 32 showed some very bad usuage of memory, way worse then my current install of FSX. In V1.3 on my old computer before the military contractors destroyed my computer in transit to san antonio Prepar3D never gave this error and in fact was well behaved in the physical memory Dept.

@ arclight: did you also manually deleted the required folders before the 1.4 install?

What are your permissions on D;\ (that's where P3D14 is now?)
Read this http://janvaane.org/prepar3d/?p=13

In that case: uninstall P3D via control panel; delete manually the folders that were made on C;|...\..\
Create a folder on D:\Prepa3D14 and re-install there. Some guidelines here: http://janvaane.org/prepar3d/?p=551
Let me know.
