Post Losing power - Altimeter gaining altitude
on: July 6, 2012, 11:27

Happened a couple of times now and I am not sure if it is related to REX injecting weather.

Flying straight and level, first indication is flying tip to adjust barometric setting, Plane loses power and the altimeter shown that I am gaining altitude at a high rate while the status ribbon still states that I am at the original altitude. no way out, plane will eventually stall. Have to exist P3D and restart.

Any suggestions?

Release autopilot; gear up? flaps up? pitch trim set? Which aircraft in P3D?

This could be related to weather bugs that will be fixed in version 1.4.

Thanks for the reply. Related thing happened again today. RealAir Lancair. Selected the plane on the gound standing still on the runway but engine would not start, then noticed the altimeter indicated FL 290 ??

Jump into a default P3D aircraft. What are the results?

Pinepix,

Sorry for going slightly off-topic, but did you get the RealAir Lanceair Legacy working for 100%? With me some sounds do not work, for instance gear, flaps and spoilers. Total silence there.

Did you read page 5 of the manual? If so, better get support from the supplier; it's of topic here.

Jan,
If you are talking to me, yes, I did read not only page 5 but all of the manual.
Did it make your Legacy run all the sounds?

Not sure about the sound, seems OK to me but I will check it out. The altimeter thing is very intermittent, have not experienced it again.
