Forgive me if asking how to get FSX add-ons working in Prepar3d is considered taboo... If this gets deleted or whatever no problem.

Has anyone tried and succeeded to get FSpassengers working? I tried installing tonight but get the error 'unable to find Fsx's dll.xml file'

-FsPassengers setup ver. Dec 16 2008 started: 11.06.2012 - 02:46

-Search if FsX is running
-OK FsX is not running
-Attempting to find FsX directory.
-Checking 64 byte registry
-FsX Directory found: C:\Prepar3D\
-Checking FsX path, searching this file: C:\Prepar3D\dialogs\dlgabout.spb
-FsX found ok
-Detecting VISTA and FsPassengers install path...
-DOH! VISTA detected: 6
-FsPassengers will be installed in: C:\Prepar3D\FsPassengers
-Check free space
-Free space Total Mb available: 65686
-Check needed space
-Needed space: 116
-This is a fresh install, no previous version of FsPX detected.
-Start of file copy...
-Attempting to find dll.xml file
-Found application data path, searching fsx.cfg C:\Users

Obviously I know whats going on, but I wouldn't know how to update the installer. Copying and pasting files doesn't work either apparently. I've had a look on the devs website, but it's quite inactive...

Cheers

-Found application data path, searching fsx.cfg C:\Users should read: C:\Users\yourname\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D
Give this a try:
Copy the fsx portion from FSPassenger in that dll.xml into the dll.xml of P3D; look at the <path>

sorry mate im confused :/

I don't have FSX installed on my machine, and in the equivalent prepar3d folder that dll.xml doesn't exist. I read somewhere that the dll.xml file tells prepar3d what application dlls to load, so I was surprised I didn't have one in that directory...

Well you got your show stopper here; try to make your own xml with this sample

I installed FSPassengers of P3D, but when I launch P3D, get a message that FSP wants the SP1 and SP2 and then closes FSP.....any ideas?

I think that FSP is referring to the version of the FSX executable
What does your dll.xml look like? (only the FSP part..)
