Post PMDG 777 in P3D
on: May 5, 2012, 03:45

I've moved the PMDG 777 with the JB-Panel from FSX to P3D and it worked so far.
But just one Problem:
The Windows in VC View are no longer transparent. Are there any changes in the transparency map from FSX to P3D?
Also the JB FMC needs some dll in the Modules folder and i couldnt locate that folder in P3D, also i could not find any dll.xml in P3D. Should i simply create them ...
Any helpful hints are appreciated ... 8O
Regards Chris

The Modules folder is created when installing FSUIPC.
the dll.xml is placed here: C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D
Read this page http://janvaane.org/virtualfsx/?p=6195 for transferring PMDG aircraft from FSX to P3D

Hi janvaane... i've copied the dll.xml and the modules folder from fsx to 3d (C:\Users\<User>\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D) and yes , it works fine.
FSUIPC (registered Version, hope theres no license issue when copying from fsx to 3d) and the JB-FMC working.

Theres only the transparency fault left. Do you have any idea if there are different transparency maps in 3d texture ?

Send me mailto:janvaane@hotmail.com the panel.cfg of the aircraft in use and I will have a look.
Make a screen print of the folder. In the panel.cfg you will read in [Window00] ident=MAIN_PANEL
You should also find a nnn_background_1024.bmp in the same folder as the panel.cfg is stored..
To get transparency you need a statement BACKGROUND_COLOR=0,0,0 in the [Windownn]

FSUIPC: as long as you copied the key file, it will work (open key file with notepad to see your license)
Latest version 4827
The Installer and DLL both include updates for version 1.3 of Prepar3D.
