Post Prepar3D screenshots folder in Pictures Folder on Windows 7?
on: April 30, 2012, 00:25

Hi Guys :)

Just wondering if anyone else is getting this? I just had to delete roughly 418mb of screenshot .bmp's I did not take from my iPhone due to Prepar3D creating a folder in my Windows 7 x64 Pictures folder called Prepar3D which was full of screenshots I had not taken.

Is anyone else having this problem? I haven't taken one screenshot as far as i'm aware but a folder has appeared full of them somehow. Which unfortunately ended up on my iPhone as I synced before realising this folder existed.

Any help appreciated.

I have not had this issue, i would recommend you go though the control settings and make sure the key is not duplicated to another.

I did a 2,110nm ( ybbn to ypph ) and the only screenshots i have are the ones i have taken.

Are you sure that you don't press the V key unintentionally from time to time? That will take a screenshot and put in that default location and folder. Look at your pictures closely and see if you can pick the phase of the flight and what you might have been doing at the time. Like reaching for the A key for the autopilot, or the B key for barometric pressure updates.
As it is 'v' without any prefix like Ctrl or Shift, it is very easy to do.

Hi guys, thanks for the replies come to think of it the B key is right next to the V on my machine so it is possible I could of tapped it, that is good theory but around quarter of the screenshots are of the map page which is confusing. I have no idea why I would be using B for barometric whilst in the map screen? I've deleted the screenshots so now I will just keep an eye on it to see if they come back :)

It seems to revolve around the time I was testing some photographic scenery if that makes any difference?
