Hi
Having got used to using the superb recording facility FSRecorder in FSX, which exhibits none of the old problems in the default video recording facility of FSX, I didn't hold out much hope of success in using the default recording facility in Prepar3D Academic, and it seems that my fears were correct.
First, Prepar3D is working perfectly for me on a triple monitor setup, and I have no other major issues, the program is superb. Instant replay works OK, though the lack of a facility to save, and have more control over this is annoying.
However, I tried using the default P3D video recording facility, and although the video recording bit seems to go smoothly, when I attempt to replay the video I get a runtime error R6025 - Pure Virtual Function Call, and P3D stops with a Fatal Error. This happens in Windowed or Full Screen mode.
For info, the event viewer reports on the same event are given below.
I am aware that there were problems with the default facility in FSX, and the lack of a reliable recording facility is frustrating in Prepar3D. I'm pretty convinced that there is nothing wrong with my rig, as everything else is OK.
Does the default P3D facility work reliably for the Prepar3D team?
Cheers
Dave Nash
